Matt is a worship leader and Katy Jo is a preschool teacher and they are in love. They shared the most beautiful engagement with us, and it is my pleasure to share it with you.

Making the call to postpone our photo shoot due to extreme weather was difficult, but it turned out to be one of the best things that could have happened. Our alternative date was the nicest weekend we have had all year. We were all excited to do the session and had planned a series of photographs that were based on the couple’s personality.

Matt and Katy Jo gave 100% to make the photos happen. Katy Jo’s ultra happy personality and Matt’s easy going attitude were effortless to photograph. Katy Jo chose the perfect outfits for this vintage, anthropology themed engagement session.

Using the pitcher and bowl his grandmother made from clay, Matt knelt to wash the feet of his bride to be as he proposed to her.

The day ended with the most amazing sunset I’ve ever photographed!
